Sunday Barnsbury Restaurant Review
My Sunday Barnsbury Experience
Sunday Barnsbury is a cozy cafe/restaurant on a peaceful, pretty residential north London road. There's indoor and garden seating at Sunday Barnsbury.
We went for an early lunch as I had woken up feeling super hungry. I ordered a

Vicky's Donuts Review
It's national doughnut week! So what better time to reminisce over Vicky's mouth-watering donuts.
I ordered some custom donuts to celebrate our anniversary which was last month. I thought I'd surprise bae with some.. "I love you bae" donuts. For those of you who may not know what bae stands for click here. I ordered four flavours from Vicky's donuts selection. Salted caramel, vanilla. Chocolate and

Primrose Bakery Review
Primrose bakery is a cute little cafe bakery situated in West London foodie haven of Covent Garden. A second bakery is located in Camden. It's snug, bright and girly, with cute cupcakes on display. I wanted to try the more unusual flavours so I chose cinnamon, green tea and also a salted caramel and a carrot cupcake.
I had hoped

Cutter And Squidge Biskie Review - London Food Blog
Aah the insta famous chain known as cutter and squidge. Seems a bit rude to call the unique beauties from cutter and squidge biscuits. They certainly ain't no hob knob that's for sure! Cutter and squidge make the most luxurious biscuits I've ever had the pleasure of eating. These top league beauties are a work of art.
The proper name for this genius invention by cutter and squidge is biskie. A food hybrid of

The Hummingbird Bakery Review - City Food Blog
I've been to all three branches of Hummingbird Bakery in London. All three are clean, enticing and stocked with the most delicious variety of cakes.
However my favourite branch has to be Hummingbird Bakery in Spitalfields London. The fact that it's across the road from Pizza Union is one major reason. I also like that this store has some outdoor seating. Hummingbird bakery in London Spitalfields isn't on a main road, or super busy London street.
Anyway I know you're interested in the cakes and treats, not necessarily the Hummingbird bakery shop itself. So I'll get on with it!

Cocomaya Review - London Food Blog
Cocomaya sounds like the name of some swanky nightclub right? However, this review is about Cocomaya- a luxury bakery in luxurious Bayswater.
Arriving at Cocomaya I was greeted by a friendly French lady. I asked her what the favourite items were. She pointed to quite a few things, including a mini flourless chocolate cake. It looked like it had a tiramisu topping and chocolate sponge bottom.
She also said she really loved the chocolate and sour cherry cake, but none of these peaked my interest quite as much as their super cool food hybrid!
I knew exactly what I was at Cocomaya for. A unique food hybrid that as far as I know can only be ordered from Cocomaya...
I present to you..

Bread Ahead Bakery Doughnuts Review
I've been salivating over the endless photos of Bread ahead doughnuts that are shown off by greedy Instagrammers day after day.
It was high time that I got in on the action!
After purchasing a box of crosstown doughnuts at Old Spitalfields market I came across the Bread Ahead Bakery stall tucked away in a corner.
Dun dun duuunnnn! What should I do??
Not one to back down from a challenge I was left with no choice. I decided to rescue

Lola's Cupcakes Review
The first time I experienced Lola's cupcakes was when I tied the knot. I ordered some red velvet cupcakes from Lola's. I didn't do a cake tasting. I just wanted reasonably priced red velvet cupcakes and Lola's cupcakes looked the part. It was such a hectic day for me - as you can probably imagine, and the taste of my wedding cakes didn't feature much in my mind.
Now that I run city food blog, I aim to provide fellow food blog readers with honest, in depth food reviews and advice on what to eat. That means paying more attention to what I'm shoveling into my mouth! So here is my honest Lola's cupcakes review.

Laduree Review London
The Laduree London branch that I visited is tucked away in a little corner in Covent garden. It has unique decor. Pastel green, with touches of cream and pastel pink, which make for a light, dreamy, feminine atmosphere.
Laduree was well stocked when I visited, with tons of macaron flavours to choose from. A friendly native french man was serving. I asked him what the most popular items were. He pointed to some chocolate thingy - I can't remember the name. He also said that Isaphan was a customer favourite.

Melba At The Savoy Review With Photos Of My Purchases
Not satisfied with yesterday's sweet treats I decided to check out Melba At The Savoy. I arrived at Melba just after 11am. A bit later than I'd initially planned. After going toe to toe with dull wet weather outside I was met with a frosty reception inside. Shelves were only just being stocked and the service I received was poor. One server looked over at me and it seemed she had dropped her smile on the floor!
Melba is small with three stools near a window - suitable for a quick stop. Melba At The Savoy is sleek and typically Parisian in style, with lots of black.
I scoped four eclairs at £2.95 each. A mango flavour eclair, salted caramel eclair, meringue eclair, and dark chocolate eclair with coconut. I had to literally ask both servers for information on the items and I received rushed through responses. I could say more about the service - or lack of, but I'll leave it at that. After all, things began to look up
