Cafe Rouge Review

To celebrate the launch of their new kids menu. The lovely people at Cafe Rouge invited my family to enjoy a tasty French dinner in Holborn.

Cafe Rouge Kids Starter and Kids Menu
My son and the other kiddies all seemed thoroughly content with their food options - big kids included! They were all in a giddy state of euphoria by the time their desserts were finished.

The Cafe Rouge kids menu
doubles as an activity sheet. It did a good job keeping the kiddos - (and the Mr) relaxed and entertained. There's even a mini french lesson on it.

Cafe Rouge Kids Burger and Fries
My son had a burger and fries for his main which he enjoyed. However he's quite easy to please where junk food is concerned! His starter was some bread and veggies with ketchup for dipping. He wasn't so chuffed about it, but I was glad to see a kids starter. Not only a kids starter, but a pretty healthy one.

For dessert he had a crepe with ice cream and chocolate sauce. The marble effect of the chocolate and icecream melting together looked like art.

Cafe Rouge Main Course - Chicken and Chips
My main at Cafe Rouge was chicken and fries. It was really basic and a little on the small side. I wouldn't order it again.

J ordered the duck for his main. It too was quite basic and a bit small.

My dessert was chocolate ganache, served with chilli and lime dark chocolate ice cream. It was quite a refreshing dessert. Not very sweet - suitable for those with less of a sweet tooth. I could have appreciated it a bit more had my throat not been feeling sore - as if I'd just swallowed bits of glass!

Cafe Rouge is a child friendly, casual, French Gastro style restaurant. In all honesty, I'm not in a hurry to visit Cafe Rouge again.

On the plus side, Cafe Rouge tend to have quite a few offers, plus they offer Tesco clubcard loyalty.

Visit www.caferouge.com for all of their current offers and to find your closest branch.
Bon appetit x
