Approaching her humble little store, I realised I had chosen the worst time of year to visit. Ms Cupcake was decked out for Halloween - such a Godless festivity!
Their oreo cupcakes had transformed themselves into bats, with beady little eyes and oreo biscuits for wings.

Ms Cupcake Red Velvet Cookie Sandwich |
their red velvet cookie sandwiches that I'd seen delicious looking photos of online. Ms Cupcake seem to cook up some pretty unique sweet treats. Knowing that their cakes and biscuits are vegan is pretty rad. As I like to limit my intake of dairy products.
I asked a server which cupcakes were popular with customers. He pointed to some Ferrero Rocher and Oreo cupcakes.
It seemed I had arrived at Ms Cupcake just in time to snag the last red velvet cookie sandwich. I procrastinated over whether or not to get a mint choc chip version too. But decided against it.
I also took home an oreo cupcake and a pumpkin brownie.
The oreo cupcake by Ms Cupcake was stingy on oreo biscuit pieces. The sponge was a bit too dry, and icing a bit too sugary sweet. I much prefer buttercream, but I also understand that it's hard to emulate buttercream without using dairy.

Ms Cupcake Pumpkin and Chocolate Brownie |
The item I was most anticipating was Ms Cupcake's red velvet cookie sandwich. It's undeniably pretty, with it's eye catching vibrant red colouration. Two bright red cookies with white soft icing swirled between.
I took one bite and realised it was going to be one of those sickly sweet cookies. I had really wanted to like the red velvet cookie sandwich by Ms Cupcake, but unfortunately it's just too sugary.
The cookies are quite hard. I prefer my cookies chewy. The soft icing in the middle isn't at all creamy, just sugary sweet. I had hoped for more of a creamy taste. It was for this reason why I didn't get ahead of myself and buy a mint choc chip cookie sandwich. That's not to say that I might not have enjoyed the mint choc chip cookie more..guess I'll never know.
Maybe if you have a super sweet tooth, and you're vegan, you'll enjoy the red velvet cookie sandwich by Ms Cupcake.
At Ms Cupcake you can order custom decorated cakes and biscuits. Gluten free options and gift vouchers for loved ones. Ms Cupcake state that there are always 12 different cupcake flavours baked up each day, so you'll never be stuck for variety!
