Supermarket Superstar - Tesco Finest Chocolate Tea

When hubby randomly decided to pick up a box of Tesco Finest Chocolate tea one day I wasn't too keen on the idea of a chocolate flavoured brew. A lot of chocolate flavoured things have an acquired taste, often failing miserably to taste anything like good quality chocolate.

It took me a while to fix myself a cup of Tesco finest chocolate tea. To me the idea just sounded a bit weird. It didn't sound like it would work out for the best. I couldn't quite see how Tesco would manage to make a cup of good quality black tea taste as good, or possibly even better than standard black tea.

I love a good cup of tea. Some people go crazy for coffee, but I'm a tea person myself, and like any sane woman I
absolutely love chocolate. So you would think Tesco finest chocolate tea sounds like a match made in heaven.

One evening J sat down to have a cup of Tesco finest chocolate tea. He beckoned me over with enthusiasm as he was delighted by the taste. The whiff of the wonderfully fragranced tea was delicious so I decided to have a few sips. It was actually pretty pleasant.

It wasn't until I sat down to enjoy a full cup of Tesco finest chocolate tea one cold autumn morning that I realised just how yummy it was. Tesco finest chocolate tea doesn't taste quite like chocolate to me. It tastes like a good quality black tea with aromatic spices that compliment the tea perfectly. Dare I say it. I think I even prefer Tesco finest chocolate tea to a good cup of original black tea!
